MUSS HERNANDEZ

Nací en Venezuela en 1968. Me gradué, con especialización en pintura, en el Rhode Island School Of Design (RISD) y pasé una breve temporada en China en el Zenzhiang University of Art estudiando pintura tradicional. En el Perú complementé mi experiencia con estudios de fotografía en el Instituto Gaudí y el Centro de la Imagen. He hecho un workshop individual en studio de KC Willis en Colorado donde investigué el trabajo con telas y cosido.Últimamente estoy experimentando con escultura en vidrio en el taller "Tierra Viva" en Lima.

Desde 1993 vivo y trabajo en el Perú. He presentado 8 muestras individuales en Lima, una en el Centro Cultural de la Embajada de Venezuela en Washington DC, muchas colectivas y he participado en múltiples ocasiones en ferias internacionales como la Feria Iberoamericana de Arte (FIA) en Caracas, ArtMiami y Arteamericas en Miami, Affordable Art Fair en Nueva York, Artbo en Bogotá y en Fotoamerica en Santiago de Chile.

He hecho murales, escenografías de teatro y he conducido por 2 años un programa de manualidades por cable.

--> I was born in Venezuela in 1968. I graduated with a major in painting at the Rhode Island School Of Design (RISD) and spent a brief stint in China at the Zenzhiang University of Art studying traditional painting. In Peru I complemented my experience with photography studies at Instituto Gaudí and Centro de la Imagen. I had a one on one workshop at KC Willis’ studio in Colorado where I researched fabrics and stitching. Lately I have been experimenting with glass sculpture at "Tierra Viva" studio in Lima.

Since 1993 I live and work in Peru. I have presented eight individual exhibitions in Lima, one at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Venezuela in Washington DC, many collective shows and have participated many times in international art fairs such as the Iberoamerican Art Fair (FIA) in Caracas, Arteamericas and ArtMiami in Miami, Affordable Art Fair in New York, Artbo in Bogota and Fotoamerica in Santiago de Chile.

I've painted murals, done theater stage sets and for 2 years I had an arts & crafts cable TV show.
